David Munro’s debut feature Full Grown Men premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, validating his selection as one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Indie Faces.” Full Grown Men won the 2007 Sundance Channel Undiscovered Gems Award and was a critic’s pick in New York Magazine, LA Weekly, and the San Francisco Chronicle. David’s short films have screened worldwide, from Sundance to Berlin. David’s ability to create “completely unreal, yet absolutely perfect alternative worlds” has been noted by reviewers, programmers, and fans. Prior to directing, David was an ad creative at Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather/NY. His work has been featured in CA Annual, The One Show, and the Clio Awards. David is an original member of the Writers Grotto, a San Francisco-based story collective that Entertainment Weekly called “one of the few solid literary communities outside NY and LA.” David attended film school at USC and San Francisco State and studied English and art history at Brown University. David is represented by The Gersh Agency for film and Kontent Films for commercials.
